In central hall of the College of Engineering, Al- Iraqia University, a master’s thesis was discussed in the Department of Computer Engineering by the researcher (Marwa Subhi Ibrahim) entitled Efficient Architectural Design for the Lightweight Lonk Algorithm

The thesis deals with the design and implementation of different architectures for lightweight cipher block cipher algorithms so that the proposed architecture is small in size, high in speed, low in cost and also in low power and can be used for efficient IoT applications.

The thesis aims to implement a lightweight cipher and it consists of a lightweight block cipher on a field programmable gate array FPGA. A new hardware architecture is proposed and FPGA implemented using Xilinx. High throughput efficiency was obtained using the Loong algorithm compared to the results published in previous studies.
