Speech of Rector of Al- Iraqia University on Occasion of “International Day for Teaching and Learning”
“To those whose radiance was shining for the world’s civilizations, to the fountains of wisdom, to the lighthouse of knowledge wherever being or going” Happy Glorious Day “.
Today we celebrate with respected university professors, our administrative staff in university formations and our dear students on the occasion of World Education Day, which falls on the twenty-fourth of January under slogan “Revitalizing and reactivating education among generation suffering from Covid-19 pandemic.” Its third session is the International Day of Teaching and Learning for life.
The challenges that we all live require us to make true giving, an unconditional bid that comes from being a conscious act that stems from the heart, outside of all logical calculations.
As officials and actors, protecting our students from school interruption invites us, to make our educational system at the core of our interest and to abide by what Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has directed to proceed with education according to integrated education system that combines direct and distance education, and we must continue to make efforts to provide Supportive capabilities and ensure students’ right to a quality education with effective and useful contents.
Just as the Presidency of the Iraqi University and deans of its ten faculties are working hard to provide support and provide its students with education through its elite professors with renewed scientific competence they carry, and it will also work to overcome the obstacles facing our students for their future and in the interest of them to advance them and reached required scientific and educational level.

In conclusion, I would like to thank His Excellency Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb, for his clear and bright fingerprints to serve the learning process in Iraq. I’ll take this opportunity to greet all components of education and scientific research family in our country and in the world for the sacrifices they have made and make And efforts to upgrade our educational systems, we ask Almighty God to give them energy and ability to continue to excel in order to raise educational level of our students.
I invite you all, dear friends, to continue giving and to move forward in your scientific journey to serve in our beloved country and our ancient university, and our prayers that this year be a year of excellence and success, and that God bless everyone with health and wellness, and God is the Grantor of success.
