“Exposure to Instagram Ads and Its Impact on Iraqi Women’s Consumer Behavior”

Public Relations Department at College of Media at Al Iraqia University discussed a master’s thesis on “Exposure to Instagram ads and its impact on the consumer behavior of Iraqi women / a field study”, by the student (Lina Dhafer Jaber). The researcher concluded a number of results, the most important of which were: The most important reasons that drive Iraqi women to use Instagram application are for the purpose of publishing video clips and photos, and that the average daily use of Instagram application by Iraqi women was from one to two hours. The results also showed that viewing new goods and services was the most prominent motive for women to be exposed to advertisements.

The discussion committee consisted of Professor Dr. “Mohammed Jiyad Zain Al-Din” as Chairman, Professor Dr. “Mohammed Abdul Hassan” as an external member, Assistant Professor “Nahla Najah Abdullah” as a member, and Assistant Professor Dr. “Hardan Hadi Sayel” as a member and supervisor of the thesis. At the end of the discussion, the committee decided, after taking into consideration the scientific efforts made by the researcher, use of references, her defense of the thesis, the research method and the results she reached, to accept the thesis as part of the requirements for obtaining a master’s degree with an excellent grade.
