The Biography of Imam (Ali Bin Musa al-Ridha) in the Light of Important Chapters in Knowing Imams by Ibn al-Sabbagh al-Maliki Book

A master’s thesis entitled (Biography of Imam Ali bin Musa al-Ridha) was discussed in College of Arts, Al Iraqia University, Department of History, in light of The Important Chapters in the Knowledge of  Imams by Ibn al-Sabbagh al-Maliki book, who died in the year (855 AH – 1477 AD).

The thesis submitted by (Mustafa Mazal) aimed to highlight the social, political and cultural personality of Ibn al-Sabbagh, as there is no scientific study that talks about him, and to shed light on the biography of Imam al-Ridha in the book The Important Chapters in Knowing the Imams, as the author investigated the narratives by selecting… Some of them are compared to other conflicting narratives.

The thesis included three chapters. The first chapter was entitled Ibn al-Sabbagh al-Maliki, his biography and academic standing. As for the second, it focused on the biography of Imam Ali bin Musa Al-Rida, and the third chapter is entitled the journey of Imam Ali bin Musa Al-Ridha (peace be upon him) from Medina to Khorasan.
