Edward Stettinius , His Political and Diplomatic Activity in United States of America Until 1949
A master’s thesis entitled :(Edward Stettinius and his political and diplomatic activity in United States of America until 1949) was discussed in the College of Arts, Al Iraqia University, Department of History.
The thesis submitted by the student (Haneen Nabil Karim) aimed to study an important figure who influenced changing the course of historical events to this day, as US Secretary of State Stettinius, despite his young age, he was able to establish the largest organization in the world, which is the United Nations, he wrote articles of the Charter of this organization, clearly addressed the issue of maintaining international peace and security, preserving human rights, providing humanitarian aid, and upholding international law when he was writing.
The thesis included three chapters. The first dealt with Edward’s biography of Stettinius and his administrative and professional activity until 1943. The second chapter was entitled (His political and diplomatic activity in United States of America until February 1945), while the third chapter focused on his diplomatic activity and his role in establishing the United Nations and the most important work he undertook after leaving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
