(Al-Sharjah Festival)

Within Al- Sharjah Arab Poetry’s Festival activities in UAE and its twentieth session, assistant lecturer Maoj Youssef, head of Media and Government Communication Unit at College of Arts, participated in the criticism sessions held at the festival and presented a critical paper on the language of Arabic poetry from pre-Islamic to Andalusian and how the transformations in Arab society affected the poetic language.
Maoj Youssef also headed the held intellectual symposium that entitled (Development of Linguistic Structure), in which a number of Arab critics lectured.
The symposium was attended by a group of intellectuals and writers from Arab world, the festival aimed to advance Arab poetry, its critics and researchers, Arabic language and its historical lexicon within the framework of renewal and creativity.
