The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University Rectorship holds a symposium entitled “A Study of the Authority of Knowledge, Its Philosophy, and Its Impact on the Environment of International Conflict”
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University Presidency held a symposium entitled “A Study of the Authority of Knowledge, Its Philosophy, and Its Impact on the Environment of International Conflict,” presented by Prof. Dr. Ziad Jihad Hamad
on May 7, 2025.
The symposium aimed to highlight the importance of the information and communications revolution, which left behind two previous revolutions: the first, the “agricultural revolution” (feudalism), and the second, the “industrial revolution.” The distinguishing features of the third revolution were major transformations in various aspects of societal life: political, economic, social, and cultural. Knowledge itself is no longer the sole source of authority; it has also become the most important component of power, wealth, and the legitimacy of authority in contemporary political thought.
