The College of Education for Girls Discusses a Master’s Thesis on Linguistic Research in Al-Balisani’s Interpretation of “Hasan al-Bayan fi Tafsir al-Quran.”

In the presence of the Dean of the College of Education for Girls at Al-Iraqia University, Assist. Prof. Dr. Huda Muhammad Salih, and the college’s assistants, the college discussed a master’s thesis on linguistic research in “Hasan al-Bayan fi Tafsir al-Quran” by Al-Balisani (d. 1415 AH).

The thesis, submitted by researcher Iqbal Mahmoud Jassim, aimed to highlight the efforts of Iraqi scholars in serving the Arabic language in general, and also to highlight the linguistic efforts of Sheikh Al-Balisani in his interpretation (Hasan al-Bayan fi Tafsir al-Quran) in particular.

The researcher stated that the importance of the thesis lies in highlighting the scholarly and linguistic status of the interpreter and his efforts in serving religion and language. This work enriches the subject with new linguistic terminology and strengthens intellectual and linguistic skills, as the subject is based on study and analysis, which has allowed for broad access to ancient and modern language books and linguistic commentaries.
