A course at the College of Education on Enhancing Spelling and Grammatical Skills in Official Correspondence.

The Department of Arabic Language at the College of Education, Al-Iraqia University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a training course on enhancing spelling and grammatical skills in writing official correspondence, for the period of 24-26/2/2025.
The course, which was lectured by M.M. Haider Ahmed Shihab and M.M. Muhammad Adel Masoud on the first day, included the spelling foundations in official correspondence, explaining the importance of correct spelling in enhancing the clarity of official transactions. It also highlighted the impact of spelling errors on understanding correspondence, and reviewed the most common errors in administrative and official writing.
As for the second day, it was devoted to studying the rules of writing the hamza, where the initial hamza, the hamza of connection, the middle and extreme hamza were addressed, in addition to distinguishing between the tied taa, the open taa and the haa in the contexts of official books.
On the third day, a comprehensive practical training was conducted, aiming to enable participants to apply the acquired rules and enhance their confidence in writing official correspondence without errors. The course was attended by a number of faculty members, staff and students of the college.
