The College of Education, Al-Iraqia University, discussed a master’s thesis on the role of seaweed extract (Ascophyllum nodosum L.) in the growth of rosemary callus (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) and its content of active compounds outside the living body, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
The thesis presented by researcher Nour Abdel Moneim Najm Musleh from the Department of Life Sciences aimed to study the effect of the growth regulator 2,4_D in stimulating the emergence of callus in rosemary leaves and studying the effect of different levels of seaweed extract in improving the growth of induced callus and measuring the antioxidant activity of the growing callus, and investigating some active compounds in the growing callus using HPLC technology.
The thesis was approved with excellent.
