The College of Islamic Sciences Organizes a Scientific Visit to the National Library and Archives

As part of its efforts to enhance cultural and research awareness among its students, the Department of Sharia at the College of Islamic Sciences organized a scientific visit to the National Library and Archives, one of the most prominent cultural institutions in Iraq. This visit came as part of the department’s efforts to enable students to understand the mechanisms of preserving heritage and rare manuscripts, and to learn about the available sources of academic research.
The visit included an introductory tour of the departments of the library, where students learned about the mechanism of classifying and managing documents, in addition to the services it provides to researchers and undergraduate and graduate students.
The visit stressed the importance of enhancing such scientific activities for their role in refining students’ research skills, and the necessity of continuing cooperation between academic and cultural institutions to benefit from available scientific resources and support the research movement in various specializations.
The National Library and Archives is one of the leading institutions in preserving Iraqi heritage, as it has representatives in various ministries of the state, which contributes to supporting scientific research and preserving cultural heritage.
