College of Arts Participates in the International Conference on Geospatial Technologies and Smart Cities

The College of Arts at Al-Iraqia University participated within the Iraq Geographical Portal team, represented by the participation of Prof. Dr. Nibras Abbas Yas and Prof. Dr. Ruqayya Ahmed Muhammad Amin in a workshop on Monday 10/2/2025 for the International Conference on Geospatial Technologies and Smart Cities, which was held at the College of Science and held under the auspices of the National Security Advisory and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The participation aimed to prepare for the work of the Fifth International Conference on Geospatial Technologies and Smart Cities under the title “Development of Spatial Information Systems and Smart Cities within the Academic and Research Process”

The workshop included the most important basic points for updates to the spatial sites of the Ministry’s formations, which achieve the possibility of building quantitative and objective databases in an interactive digital form in order to introduce universities, their formations and educational programs, through modern technological applications.
