College of Islamic Sciences Participates in the National Day of the Holy Quran Celebration

As part of its continuous support for the Holy Quran and Quranic Studies, the College of Islamic Sciences participated in the National Day of the Holy Quran celebration organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of the His Excellence, Minister of Higher Education Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, in addition to a number of university rectors  and deans of colleges.

The celebration witnessed the announcement of His Excellence Al-Aboudi of the creation of a new channel for accepting Quran memorizers in postgraduate studies, in a step aimed at enhancing the role of Iraqi universities in serving the Holy Quran. The Minister also directed the activation of the role of colleges and departments specialized in using modern technologies and artificial intelligence in Quranic studies.

The ceremony also included official speeches, religious supplications, and an exhibition of Arabic calligraphy, in addition to honoring a group of Quran reciters and students accepted into the Quran Memorizers Channel.

The College of Islamic Sciences emphasized in its participation the importance of this initiative, which enhances the role of universities in the field of the Holy Quran and works to empower students in this vital field.
