Iraqi-Iranian Science Week

The launch of the Iraqi-Iranian Science Week in the Holy Karbala and the signing of an executive program between the Iraqi Ministry of Education and its Iranian counterpart, with the attendance of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Ali Saleh Al-Jubouri
The activities of the Iraqi-Iranian Science Week were launched in the holy Karbala with the participation of more than a hundred universities from both countries.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, confirmed in his speech during the opening ceremony in the presence of the representative of the Parliamentary Education Committee, the Governor of the holy Karbala and its Chairman, university presidents, general managers and cultural advisors that the second edition of the Iraqi-Iranian Science Week will proceed with details to the implementation stage in terms of exchanging scientists, professors and researchers, implementing research and technological projects, cultural exchange and scholarships, holding specialized workshops, stimulating technical and professional cooperation, and establishing joint parks for science and technology.
He explained that the Iraqi government and its development institutions, especially the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, have achieved positive indicators in the field of internationalization of education and the field of sustainable development and have shown the name of Iraq in important international ranks thanks to the keen interest in scientific research and the rise in the growth index in global publishing, noting at the same time that the path of quality education in Iraqi university institutions has provided a guarantee of access to international accreditation and made the academic programs and certificates granted at a high level of scientific solidity.
In turn, the Iranian Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Dr. Hossein Simaei Saraf, expressed his thanks for the high level of organization of the Joint Science Week, pointing out the importance of scientific cooperation between the universities of the two countries and strengthening their position in global classifications.
The two sides signed an executive program between the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, which included several axes, including:
▪️Enhancing joint cooperation between the two parties in the scholarship program for undergraduate and postgraduate studies, especially within the Study in Iraq program.
▪️Organizing training workshops for teachers and students.
▪️Encouraging cooperation in the field of joint scientific supervision.
▪️The possibility of exchanging university professors to conduct joint scientific research and give lectures in their areas of specialization.
▪️Working to establish a joint scientific park in Iraq under the management of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The opening ceremony of the Iraqi-Iranian Science Week witnessed official speeches, scientific presentations, and honoring of a number of figures.
