The College of Islamic Sciences Discusses a Master’s Thesis on the Texts’ Doctrinal Guidance That Suggest Anthropomorphism According to Imam Al-Sha’arani

The College of Islamic Sciences had discussed a master’s thesis entitled “The Doctrinal Guidance of the Texts Illusory of Resemblance in Imam Al-Sha’rani’s Book “Al-Qawa’id Al-Kashfiyyah”, which was submitted by Zahraa Muhammad Khalifa, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Omar Issa Imran.
The study aimed to shed light on the status of Imam Al-Sha’rani as one of the venerable scholars of the nation, while stating the importance of his book “Al-Qawa’id Al-Kashfiyyah” as a valuable doctrinal reference.
The thesis included a comprehensive analytical study that dealt with the life of Imam Al-Sha’rani and his era, in addition to defining his book in terms of objectives and topics, while shedding light on its advantages and the objections that were taken against it. It also dealt with Imam Al-Sha’rani’s position on the texts that suggest resemblance, and his guidance of them in a manner consistent with the correct Islamic doctrine.
The discussion committee consisted of:

Professor Dr. Hussein Aliwi Hussein as a member.
Assistant Professor Dr. Baraa Adel Masoud as a member.
Professor Dr. Omar Issa Imran as a supervising member.
The session was concluded with the committee praising the student’s efforts and the distinguished analytical vision she presented that serves doctrinal studies.
