An Introductory Tour on the Monitoring Systems and Renewable Energy Sources

The Head of Department of Energy and Renewable Energy at the College of Engineering / Al- Iraqia University, Eng. Dr. Hussein Jumaa Jaber and his accompanying staff, Assistant Lecturer Rehab Kareem, Assistant Lecturer Ali Muhammed Reda, organized an introductory tour for the students of the department / first stage, about the monitoring systems in the college and the modern technological techniques used in the College of Engineering.

It included a detailed explanation of replacing non-renewable energy sources with renewable and safe energy sources and the lack of need for frequent maintenance and high maintenance costs. The students also viewed the solar panels that provide energy. Questions were raised about the advantages and disadvantages and general explanatory discussions between the students.

This tour was among the activities that contribute to increasing the students’ knowledge about the capabilities available in the college and urging them to contribute to its development.
