Awareness Seminar on:The World Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Scientific Affairs Unit at College of Dentistry / Al-Iraqia University organized an awareness seminar on the occasion of the (World Breast Cancer Awareness Month), attended by Professor Dr. Iyad Taha, Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and a number of professors and students of the college. The seminar, which was presented by a group of professors from the college, namely Professor Dr. Karima Al-Salihi, Professor Dr. Jamal Khalil, Professor Dr. Manal Al-Moussawi, and Lecturer Nour Nouri, addressed many awareness and medical topics about breast cancer.

The symposium reviewed the latest medical statistics related to breast cancer rates locally and globally, in addition to highlighting the importance of early detection and its impact on increasing the chances of treatment. It also touched on self-examination methods, prevention methods, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle in reducing the risk of contracting the disease. The symposium received wide interaction from the attendees, who asked questions about the latest developments in the field of diagnosis and treatment, as the lecturers emphasized the importance of health awareness and the role of academic institutions in spreading knowledge and educating society about this disease.
