The Impact of Railways on Egypt’s Public Conditions (1952-1981)

A master’s thesis entitled “The Impact of Railways on General Conditions in Egypt 1952-198” was discussed at College of Arts, Department of History, Al Iraqia University. The thesis, submitted by (Jassim Ajil Mohsen), aimed to know the transportation network in Arab Republic of Egypt, especially the railways, and their role in the general conditions of Republic of Egypt and their impact on economic, political, social and military life.

The thesis included four chapters. The first chapter dealt with the railways and the economic aspect of Egypt between 1952-1981. The second chapter included the railways and the Egyptian social and health life 1952-1981 while the third chapter focused on the relationship between Egyptian railway system and Egyptian Armed Forces (1952-1981). The fourth chapter emphasized the relationship between political stability and the Egyptian railways.
