Welcoming Speech on the Occasion of (Starting the New Academic Year 2024/2025)

The University Rector, Prof. Dr. Ali Saleh Hussein Al-Jubouri, delivered a welcoming speech on the occasion of starting of the new academic year 2024/2025.

Dear students,

Peace be upon you and God’s mercy and blessings.

I am delighted and honored to welcome you at the beginning of your new academic year, where, like every year, we look forward to more fruitful and diligent work to achieve the goals you aspire to.

As you head to your classrooms on Monday, the 16th of this month, in various scientific and humanitarian disciplines, I address the spirit of responsibility in you, as you are the backbone of university work and the target of the educational process. I urge you to embody the morals that befit your academic and intellectual level as university students, and to keep excellence and distinction in your sights, setting a good example for future generations, and to realize your hopes and the hopes of your families who always look forward to your achievements and creativity.

I also want to convey Al Iraqia University’s commitment, with all its members—professors and staff—who work day and night to develop your academic curricula, as well as the university’s dedication to providing you with the best services according to the quality standards followed in global universities.

In conclusion, I ask God Almighty to protect our country and to grant us security and stability. Indeed, He is capable of all things and worthy of response.
