Memorizers of Revelation and Recitation of Holy Quran Competitions
College of Islamic Sciences at Al- Iraqia University celebrated the students who won the Memorizers of Revelation competition, which included memorizing the excerpts of 500 hadiths from Sahih al-Bukhari and recitation Holy Quran.
Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Kazem Khalifa Hammadi, and his Assistants for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Moataz Qasim Al-Maadidi, Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Yaqoub Nazem Ahmed, and Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Khaleq Naji Obaid, attended the exceptional celebration, which was held by the Department of Hadith and its Sciences under the supervision of its head, Dr. Muhammad Hamid. Al-Lahibi, to honor 30 students of undergraduate studies (morning and evening) and postgraduate studies from various departments of the college, winners of the Recitation and Memorizers of Revelation competitions.
The ceremony, which was moderated by the official of Media and Cultural Relations Committee, Dr. Ruaa Ali Rajab, included honoring winners of the (First Qur’anic Recitation) competition, which was based on two axes. The first axis was a recitation of Hafs on the authority of Asim and a recitation of one of the ten recitations. The winners were chosen according to the criteria set by the arbitration committee headed by Professor Dr. Yasser Ismail, and the membership of Dr. Othman Al-Sarraj and Dr. Nabaa Talib.
