University Presidency Holds a Meeting to Implement (Sustainability and Green Education Plans)

presidency of the university was held under the chairmanship of Rector of the University, Professor Dr. Ali Saleh Hussein Al-Jubouri, his scientific assistant, Professor Dr. Khamees Awad Zaidan, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Malek Abdel Razzaq, the Director of Scientific Affairs Department, Professor Dr. Muwaffaq Shayaa, and a number of the sustainability work team in College of Engineering, to implement the contents of the Ministry related plans to sustainability and green education, at the university headquarters in Adhamiya.

In the meeting, which was attended by a member of  Engineers Syndicate, a member of  International Sustainability Team, and the first Rector of University of Tikrit, Professor Dr. Awni Kamel Shaaban, the tasks of ministerial team in the field of sustainability were discussed, their implications at the university level, and modernization of curricula on renewable energy in universities, as well as the development of buildings and facilities to keep pace with them. The meeting also discussed the establishment of a specialized center within the university concerned with activating sustainability and developing strategic plans to activate the center’s work by drawing the first touches to form the features of this center.
