Role of Educational Institutions in Spreading Intellectual Moderation

Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit cooperated with Continuing Education Unit at the College of Education for Women at the University and organized a course on the role of educational institutions in spreading intellectual moderation.

The course, which was delivered by assistant lecturer (Hawraa Odeh Hussein), aimed to provide students and teachers with correct educational values and concepts, and to maintain the cohesion and unity of society according to scientific methods, as well as to advance curricula with thought and reject distorted and shady ideas.

The course included several topics, including defining the concept of intellectual moderation and its importance, as well as the administrative tasks of educational institutions that contribute to spreading intellectual moderation and their preventive role, as well as the expected role of the elements of the educational process in combating violent and extremist behavior, as well as means of activating moderate thought among students.
