A Symposium on Addressing Suicide Problems Among Young People

Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, in cooperation with Geography Department, held their scientific symposium entitle (Suicide, the Problem and Solutions for College Students), in which Dr. Bafrain Jassim Muhammed, Assistant lecturer Ghusoon Sobhi Jassim, and Dr. Adnan Ali Hamza, lectured as chairperson of the session.

The symposium included an explanation of suicide, the most important psychological effects, and the reasons that increase the severity of suicide, including the economic and social reasons that force an individual to commit suicide.

The symposium aimed to introduce students to some psychological illnesses that appear in an individual’s behavior and indicate that he or she will commit suicide.
