“Terrorism and Islam’s Position on it” a Symposium at College of Education

Department of Physics at College of Education, Al-Iraqia University, organized a symposium entitled Terrorism and Islam’s position on it, based on the approach of centrism and moderation.

The course in which Assistant Prof. Dr. Sattar Muhammad Allawi, and Lecturer Amer Najim Abboud had two axes. The first axis dealt with terrorism in history, definition of terrorism in language and terminology, terrorist operations, the future of mankind, and what are the causes and types of terrorism, in addition to the motives and forms of terrorism and the most famous political assassinations.

The second axis dealt with Islam’s position on terrorism and methods of treating it, the characteristics of moderate approach, and the reasons for deviation from centrism and moderation, as well as moderation between homeland and nation.

The session was attended by number of college lecturers and students.
