Legal Affairs Department Organizes a Workshop on (Combating Phenomenon of Corruption)

Within annual Integrity Week which coincides with the activities of International Anti-Corruption Day, Legal Affairs Department at the University Presidency, in cooperation with High Commission for Human Rights, held a workshop entitled (Combating phenomenon of corruption) at Central Library’s corridors.

The workshop included a review of the widespread phenomenon of corruption in various countries of the world as a phenomenon that threatens the entity and fabric of society.

The workshop discussed also ways to address corruption, both financial and administrative, as well as reviewing the legal articles that criminalize corruption.

The workshop called for spreading culture of integrity, preserving public money, developing effective methods to combat the phenomenon of money laundering, and supporting the role of senior management by intensifying efforts to encircle, control and prevent corruption, and developing effective systems to evaluate the performance of government and private institutions.
