Rhythm Formations in (Sung Arabic Poems)

A master’s thesis entitled (Rhythm Formations in (Sung Arabic Poems of Second Half of Twentieth Century) was discussed in College of Arts, Arabic Language Department.

The thesis presented by postgraduate (Dhia Amer Ashour) aimed to illustrate the concept of sung poem and its impact on Arabic poetry, determine the relationship between singing and weight changes, how to prepare poetic texts before singing, and analyze the most important changes that occur in the weight and rhythm.

The thesis included three chapters, in the first chapter the student addressed (concept of the sung poem), the second chapter (musical structure), and the third chapter (sounds of the poem).
