College of Arts Holds its Fourteen Iraqi-Japanese Workshop
In cooperation with Colleges of Arts at University of Baghdad, Al-Mustansiriya, Al-Iraqia University, Chiba University, Japanese International Cooperation Agency, and House of Al-Hikma, and under the title (History, Society, and Iraqi and Japanese Heritage, Diverse Perspectives), College of Arts at the Iraqi University held Iraqi-Japanese workshop on Tuesday, November 21, the opening included a welcome speech by the Rector. Professor Dr. Ali Saleh Hussein Al-Jubouri welcomed and thanked such cooperative initiatives between the two countries and stressed the importance of scientific cooperation in multiple fields, namely ( field of buildings, desertification, financial and human resources, and artificial intelligence) and concluded by saying: Forming work teams of professors and researchers to carry out exchanged scientific visits between Iraq and Japan.
Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Graduate Studies, Professor Dr. Muthanna Fadel Theeb, delivered the speech of College of Arts, in which he emphasized the college’s role in being a platform for holding such international workshops that bring Iraq closer to countries that have advanced academic expertise. On the other hand, Professor (Keiko Sakai) stressed in her speech that This workshop is: a starting point for Iraqi-Japanese communication and praised the cooperation of presidency of Al- Iraqia University.
The workshop consisted of two sessions in which the researchers presented research papers. The first session was entitled (Middle East and Iraq: Academic Convergence), chaired by Professor Dr. Falah Al-Asadi, while the second was entitled (Iraq and Japan, Society and Digital Development), chaired by Professor Dr. Saif Adnan Raheem.
