Welcome Speech

Rector of the University, Professor Dr. Ali Saleh Hussein Al-Jubouri, gave a welcome speech on the occasion of starting the new academic year 2023/2024.

In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful

“Dear students”:

May the peace, blessings, and mercy of God be upon you

It brings me joy and honor to welcome you to the start of your new academic year, in which we look forward every year to more fruitful and serious work to achieve the goals that you want to achieve.

“My dear sons and students”:

As you head to your academic seats on Sunday, the 17th of this month, in various scientific and humanitarian specializations, I address in you the spirit of responsibility, as you are the backbone of university work and the target of the educational process. I invite you to have morals that are appropriate to your scientific and cognitive level as university students, and to keep in mind Distinction, excellence, setting a good example for generations, and fulfilling your family’s expectations, who are always anticipating all excellence and creativity from you.
