Director of Office of Rector of the University participates in Annual Academic Workshop of The Red Cross

Director of the Office of Rector of the University, Assistant Prof. Dr. Jamil Hussein Damen, and Prof. Dr. Basayr Ali Muhammad, at the annual academic workshop on international humanitarian law for university professors, which was held by International Committee of the Red Cross in cooperation with Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in Najaf Governorate on Sunday 11/12/2022.

The workshop included a discussion of many important topics of international humanitarian law and a set of international rules established in accordance with international treaties and norms, and ways to solve problems of a humanitarian nature arising from international or non-international armed conflicts, during which a group of specialized professors from all Iraqi universities discussed.

While a lecturer at the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Basayr Ali Muhammad, presented a presentation entitled (The Missing and Their Families in Iraqi Law), and discussed the contributions of relevant international conventions in addressing issue of the missing, protecting the rights of their families and knowing their fate, as well as protecting their families.
