A PhD Thesis Discusses Artistic Creativity and its Manifestations Among Poets of Kings of Sects
College of Arts, Al-Iraqia University, Department of Arabic Language discussed a doctoral thesis entitled Artistic Creativity and its manifestations among the poets of the kings of sects
The thesis presented by, Samar Saad Hashem, aimed at trying to find the sources of creativity in the poetry of kings of the sects through language and style, the poets were influenced by Andalusian environment. It contributed to the creation of new connotations for some words, structures and images. This is according to the purpose and occasion of each poetic text, as well as the poet’s employment of words and meanings according to the emotional experience that he expiries, so he colors his speech and diversifies the images according to that experience.
The thesis included three chapters, the first of which was entitled: (The Poetic Lexicon), which included: vocabulary of time, nature, love, and finally sadness which is entitled (The Poetic Lexicon), it included: the external rhythm consisting of: weight, rhyme, and the internal rhythm consisting of: repetition, the inability to respond to the chest of poem, alliteration, and counterpoint.
