Master’s Thesis Discusses :(Poetry of Kamal Nusrat)

Faculty of Arts at Al- Iraqia University, Department of Arabic Language, discussed a master’s thesis entitled Kamal Nusrat’s Poetry.

The thesis was presented by the student, Khaled Rihan Karimish Al-Shammari, aimed at revealing important details in the poet’s mysterious and turbulent life, about the most important events that affected the poet’s life. It is also an attempt to reveal the artistic and objective aspects of his poetry and to present it in a clear image to show in a new look after it was obsolete and long forgotten on the shelves of libraries, to see the light again and make its way to readers and researchers.

The thesis included a preface and three chapters in which the preamble dealt with a brief overview of Iraqi poetry in twentieth century until the seventies of the last century. The first chapter dealt with the poet’s life and its literary and cultural community , then the second one dealt with the poetic purposes and trends in the poet’s poetry. As for the third chapter, it dealt with the artistic construction of the poem, the image, and the musical formation in the poet’s poetry.
