A Master’s Thesis in Arts College /Al-Iraqia University Discusses (Spatial Variation of the Manifestations of Visual Pollution in Al-Kadhhimiya City)

The thesis presented by (Sherine Thamer Jassam), aimed to analyze the spatial variation of manifestations of visual pollution in the city of Kadhimiya and to know its causes, harmony and compatibility in the urban environment such as the heights of buildings, urban fabric patterns, colors and billboards, and to indicate the negative impact of the manifestations of visual pollution on urban environment and population.

The thesis included four chapters, the first chapter dealt with the basic concepts of visual pollution , the second chapter dealt with the geographical characteristics (natural and human) of Kadhimiya city and their relationship to visual pollution problem while the third chapter dealt with the analysis of spatial variance of the manifestations of visual pollution and its relationship to environmental pollution in the city of Kadhimiya, and the fourth one dealt with the analysis of the statistical spatial variance of the manifestations of visual pollution in the city of Kadhimiya and the psychological, behavioral and health effects of visual pollution as well as the effects of pollution on the urban environment and treatment methods.
