College of Education /Al-Iraqia University, Assist. Prof. Raghad Khalaf Ibrahim / Department of Life Sciences obtained a patent entitled “Production of a new culture medium from housefly larvae to multiply bacteria used in the biological control of flies”, according to the document issued by Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control No. 7260 in 2/12/2022.

Where a new culture medium was prepared from the larvae of houseflies to multiply many types of bacteria to use them in biological control of insects.

The study is considered important in the field of safe and environmentally friendly control, which reduces use of chemicals and their pollution to the environment in all its forms.
