Minister of Higher Education “Demonstrators who are demanding for jobs are not redundant and we are committed to enabling graduates to take up their jobs”.
Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb, also affirmed that demonstrators demanding for jobs are not surplus to need, but rather are victims of the accumulated poor-planning in energies investment.
In his speech before Al-Iraqia University Council, His Excellence stated that Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its university institutions in which more than (sixteen thousand) contract employees performs their entrusted tasks and represents an actual need in universities and government institutes that deal with escalating inputs based on population growth. He also expressed the commitment of the Ministry to deal firmly and earnestly with the issue of post graduates and under-graduates in accordance with the contexts and legislation that allows state institutions to activate their job grades and enable different segments of graduates to take up their jobs if appointments are launched.
Finally His Excellence appreciated the effective engagement of private universities and colleges, which rushed to provide possible job opportunities for degree holders, and the positive endeavor to facilitate the effects of current repercussions on this important segment.
