The College of Education for Girls Hosts the “Stirling Talks” Competition for Ishq Baghdad Schools with a High-Level Academic Attendance

Baghdad – The College of Education for Girls at the Al-Iraqia University hosted the “Stirling Talks” Competition for students from Ishq Baghdad Schools on Sunday. The competition was attended by a remarkable academic audience, led by the Assistant President of the University of Iraq for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Khamis Awad Zidane; the Dean of the College of Education for Girls, Assist. Prof. Dr. Huda Muhammad Salih; the Dean’s Scientific Affairs Assistant, Dr. Rana Samim; the Dean’s Administrative Assistant, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Karim Youssef; the Head of the English Department, Assist. Prof. Wassan Ali; and a group of faculty members.
The competition was judged by a group of specialists, including eight members of the College’s English Department and four representatives from the American University. They evaluated the performance of the competing students from Ishq schools in Baghdad and various Iraqi governorates. The “Stirling Talks” competition aims to hone students’ public speaking skills and develop their ability to express their opinions and ideas clearly and confidently. It also aims to foster leadership and creativity among the future generation by presenting innovative ideas and effective solutions to societal issues.
The students excelled in their presentations, which covered a variety of social, environmental, and educational topics, reflecting a high level of preparation and self-confidence. At the conclusion of the event, awards and certificates of appreciation were distributed to the winners and participants, honoring their efforts and encouraging them to continue to excel and innovate.
For her part, the Dean of the College expressed her pride in hosting such youth initiatives, emphasizing that the College always strives to support promising talents and create a stimulating educational environment that contributes to building a cultured generation capable of assuming responsibility.
