A scientific lecture at the College of Education entitled “The Danger of the Drug Scourge and the Role of University Students in Combating It”

The Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Education, Al-Iraqia University , in coordination with the Center for Continuing Education, held a scientific lecture entitled “The Danger of the Drug Scourge and the Role of University Students in Combating It” on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

The lecture, presented by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hamed Daham, covered several topics, most notably:
1. The legal basis for the prohibition of drug use.
2. Types of drugs.
3. The effects of drug use on the individual and society.
4. Psychological rehabilitation and social integration of addicts.
Among the most important recommendations emerging from the lecture was the intensification of scientific and educational seminars and lectures at all levels to protect society from this scourge.
