The College of Medicine at Al-Iraqia University holds a student cultural festival for people with special needs, attended by the President of the National Council for the Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq

Under the patronage of the College of Medicine Dean, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, and the supervision of the Dean’s Assistants for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nawar Sahib Khalil, and for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haifa Mahmoud Al-Jumaili.
The festival was attended by the President of the National Council for the Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq, Prof. Dr. Yusra Abdul Rahman, and the Head of the Central Committee for Students with Special Needs, Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division at the University Rectorship, Prof. Dr. Mohsen Saleh Hassan.
The College of Medicine/Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Central Committee for the Care of Students with Special Needs at the University Presidency, and under the direct supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Nuha Muhammad Saleh, a member of the Central Committee for Students with Special Needs at the College of Medicine, held a student cultural festival for people with special needs entitled: “The Rights of People with Special Needs and the Impact of Physical Exercise on Their Behavior.”
This took place this morning, Monday, March 24, 2025, in the Al-Kindi Hall at the college.
The festival included lectures on community rehabilitation for people with special needs, Law No. 38 of 2013 on Persons with Special Needs, and the importance of physical exercise for people with special needs. In addition, second-year students distributed brochures on the etiquette of dealing with people with special needs, as well as brochures featuring the logo for people with special needs.

The festival was attended by Prof. Ikhlas Ali Hussein, Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the college, and a large number of college professors, staff, and students.
